You could always create your own installer that would include logging functions.
?
let me further extend my question.
I'm curious to know where a certain program installs it's files to and how much of it removes itself once uninstalled. My thinking is that having an installer log would tell me, but this program doesn't give me the option of created one. Any suggestions?

Both WISE and Installshield create logs as far as I know.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
I think you're looking for something like these:

Search terms you can use: "registry monitor", "file monitor", "install monitor"
Windows NT/2000/XP/2K3 comes with inbuilt auditing support. Search for "system auditing Windows 2000"
