hey guys, im having problems with regedit. i'll type regedit in the run box and it'll pop up for about a half of a second and go away...so i figure i'd hit ctrl+alt+del and see if i had any wierd proccess running and it's doing the same thing! wtf??! can anybody help me out?

maybe some spyware/adware/virus that doesn't want you to potentially halt/delete it so it shuts down these program so you can't. Run a virus check/spyware check on your system. See if anything pops up. Sometimes you may have to start system in safe mode to delete certain items.

Check your error logs to see if they tell you anything. Otherwise I would wager that you have malware causing it and you should take the necessary steps to diagnose and remove it.
One quick test is to copy and rename taskmgr.exe and see if that runs. If it does then check for bogus processes. Usually if malware restricts the Task Manager it is because you can shut down the bad process with it.
