    Upgrading Motherboards

Im looking to upgrade my motherboard. While looking around I've found a lot of boards that suppord DDR ram. Currently I've got SD ram and am wanting to keep what I've got into the new board. My question is if I get a board that supports DDR will it support SD ??? I only ask because (as far as i know) ddr is twice as fast as sd so I guess I guess just figured it would be supported.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

or does anyone have any good links to sites w/info?

    thanks again

You can get mobos that support both types of RAM. However, your SDRAM will not fit into the DDR slot, so it won't work.

I recommend doing the full upgrade and moving to DDR. It's well worth the money.
