    DDR400 and DDR300

    Can I put DDR400 memory in a computer that uses DDR300 without risking damage to the memory?? Thanks

    I hope you mean 4000 and 3000. And you should be able to... you just won't get the same performance out of it.

    And actually saying DDR400 (PC3200) and DDR333 (PC2700) would be fine.

    But yah, Ober's right. Won't hurt anything, won't (directly) benefit anything. Will give you the freedom to increase your front side bus up to 200 MHz, assuming the rest of your PC can handle it.

    as long as the motherboard is compatible with it
