I'm going to be getting a laptop soon and have a question. I'm considering getting a tv tuner card in it. If I use the laptop regularly as a tv, how would this affect the display. Would it burn out faster? If so, how long?

It's an LCD...there is no "burning out" like on CRT's. It doesn't matter whether your screen saver runs for a half hour or you watch a sitcom. It's going to last as long as it's going to last either way.
