gVim 6.2 Backup Files

    WHenever I edit a file with gVim it creates these files with the same extension of that that I named them but with a ~ at the end. Such as Test.cpp~. I opened one and saw that it was like a backup. But now my folder is full of twice as many source files than I wanted and it just wastes space. Does anyone know how to turn off the backup creation on gVim? Thanks.

    When all else fails, read the instructions.
    If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
Thanks Hammer. Sorry about that, I tried to read through the help thing in Vim but I was so new to it I got all disoriented.
