I've seen many distros display an image when you are in console mode, such as Gentoo and Knoppix. I have my system set up to show a picture of tux on the top-left corner of the screen when Linux is starting up, but as soon as I get to login, tux disappears. I'd like to see tux whenever I go to a console.
