Is it possible to receive audio along with the video with s-video? What type of audio might that be called: line-in, microphone etc?

I don't believe so... I think that's why it's called S-video
But isn't s-video what is used for satallite tv? wouldn't it only require that cable? If not, then what alternative cable could I use with the s-video?
Use your audio out/in sockets instead.

When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
some stuff does use a s-video cable for audio as well as video. But normally the svideo is only 2 signals: luminance and chrominance. I dont think that you can do it with your pc unless you make a hack.

There is a purpose for seperating video and audio channels. If you want to send both from one cable, use coaxial cable.
hmm....go from your line out on the pc...whats so hard about that?
