Is there anyway to convert an Ntfs partition to Fat32 without formatting the partition?

There's a CONVERT tool with windows
http://www.ntfs.com/quest3.htm
I get an error stating: "The type of the file system is NTFS. CONVERT is not available for NTFS drives."
because the tool is for converting FAT to NTFS and not vice versa, I wonder if there is a free tool for doing this, do you have partition magic?
Sorry, misread your question
Well, I tried my copy of partition magic but the copy only works for NT. Any other ideas?
my best bet would be to d/l the kernel source for linux 2.6, check out the part for reading ntfs, then look at a simple tutorial for Fat32...then write the app yourself, that's probably the only way to do it.
PHP and XML
Let's talk about SAX

Wouldn't copying the files to another drive, formating, and copying them back be much easier?
Any reasons not to do so?
I'm afraid you won't be able to do it w/o buy some tool.
