Problem:
When I run certian programs, such as the games, they run super slow. I monitered my CPU usuage, when I ran a game, and it takes up almost all of it's resources. The games aren't really considered resouce-suckers.
Can someone give me a suggestion?

Are you certain that you're using the right driver/configuration for your video card? Your processor might be trying to compensate for what you video card can't understand because of a bad driver.
That's how it sounds to me as well. When using the "default" nVidia driver in RedHat 9 my 2.0 GHz Athlon and Ti4200 would absolutely grind to a hault on 3D things... installed the driver and now all is wellOriginally posted by ober5861

Go to nVidia's site and download the Linux drivers. They're really easy to install, everything works off a sh file to set it up. That's one thing I like about nVidia: they are user friendly.
I wouldnt call them user friendly, I would just say that they are very linux friendly , and linux is very nvidia friendly. I like ATI cards myself, now that they make drivers superior to NVidia.That's one thing I like about nVidia: they are user friendly.
What do you find about them that isn't user friendly? I have used their Linux, FreeBSD, and Windows drivers and they are easy to use and install.
My next card will be an ATI. I do I agree with you that their new drivers are superior with nVidia's. As well as everything else ATI does. People are like "The GeForceFX 5200 is only $70 and it's DirectX 9!" What they don't realize is that the DX9 support means diddly-squat if the card isn't fast enough to use the new features and maintain a reasonable frame rate.

and by user-friendly, I meant programmer-friendly. You can go through the ATI opensource drivers and if you know what you are doing, provide more up-to-date drivers for them, while with Nvidia, it is proprietary drivers only so you have to take what they give you.
I've also had problems with mandrake 9.1 with intel extreme graphics controller...but, the effects weren't there on version 2 of that controller. They use the same driver...there may be architectual effects though. That may apple here (if it's not the card, im not to familiar with what kernel rh9 uses)
