right click windows html icon errors

When I open a folder and right click on a file that follows the extension of .htm or html or anything that is asociated with IE this message popups up saying to send microsoft about the error. Nothing freezes nothing happens. I could use everything normally just with the error. I have currently a few of them open right now I'm just too lazy pushing the close button. When I push the close button explore (there the startmenu and all windows and desktop items) disapear then reapears again.

Any one know what might the problem be and how to fix it?

    Thanx in advance!

Maybe it's probably a virus that have done something to Windows. You might want to try scanning your computer for viruses if you have Anti-Virus software. Also, try out Webroot Spy Sweeper. This will allow you to get rid of the adware and spyware programs from your computer.

I downloaded that and it found 4 spyware programs. I would like to try to reinstall IE.I downloaded the new version of IE from microsoft.com. I went to add/remove programs then "windows components" and removed the check mark "IExplorer". That didn't uninstall IE completly because when I went to start run and typed "Iexplorer" IE opened up.

How do I uninstall IE correctly?

    Thanx in advance!

If you're using WinXP, you can't remove IE completely, because it is too integrated into Windows. Just install IE again, and it should do the trick.
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

You don't need to uninstall IE before you install a new one!

webroot spy sweeper put this curse on my internet explorer now everytime I want to visit a website instead of typing in "cboard.cprogramming.com" I have to type in the "http://" in order for it to go there. I downloaded avg free edition it found many viruses on my computer. It fixed many of my problems. I have new problems after using the spy sweeper. Every time change my home page spy sweeper changes it back when it is on. And typing "http://" is very annoying. How can I fix this?

Avg antivirus works very well it found many viruses on my computer. Iam getting tired of running it to search my computer for infected files. The problem still remains about right clicking on html or htm files. It got even worse now. I just have to select it. An error accurs when it is searching for information about htm or html files. I can select it if I select more than one file. But if it is the only file that is selected I get that error message. Anyone know what the problem for this may be?

    Thanx in advance!
