    Router May be in trouble

Ok, I don't know what the deal is, but I'm trying to play some games of mine... Counter-Strike and Priston Tale, and for some reason neither of them can find any servers...

I thought "Must be a problem in my internet connection", as I search to locate the problem, I restarted everything, router, computer, unplugged every cord that I own even my TV cable cord, but alas... I see in the status section of my router's configuration it says "Disable" when it usually says "Connected", this is the "Error" I can find in all of this, and I've tried to fix it but no luck. And Yes, I still can get on the internet through all of my computers that are using this router. I'm using a Linksys Wireless Router with 4-port switch. I have 2 wireless computers connected to it and one corded one, please help me!

it sounds like a configuration problem to me, reconfigure your router, an interface is probably down is all.

Did you make sure that the ip of the router = what your computer thinks is the ip of the router?

What it might be is that you need to open the ports up. Look to see if your router supports port triggering (or something like that).

It finds the ip automatically and it doesn't have port triggering in my options, so i suppose not.

If you can "see" other web sites, luike this one, through the router, then the router is talking to your machines, and it is talking to the net. So the basic configuration is not totally wrong - NOTE - that does not mean it is totally right either.

However, if this is the case, I would agree that it is more likely to be ports that are closed by default, need opening. Something to try as an experiment, there is often a means of specifying one or more of your machines "open", whereby the firewall passes everything to/from it. If it works when you are in that state, then you know it is a port problem. DO NOT leave your machine in this open state longer than you need to unless you are COMPLETELY SURE you understand the implications of doing this.
