    Yeah, Outlook/Outlook Express are pretty cool that way. Thanks to being built by MS you get that abilility.

    Hotmail is webmail (HTML only), it is not POP3. I think there used to be a POP3 server you could connect to, but that no longer exists. Outlook simply has the ability to check hotmail. If you look closer at it, when it fills in the server info it does NOT give a POP3 account.

    There's a number of programs out there that can convert webmail into POP3, but none are free that I know of. So, for the time being, my mail client is Internet Explorer

    Very true. I remember that now. I have given up on free email at this point tho. I use an account with my ISP and several accounts with the webspace that I now occupy.
