about a year ago i got windows xp on my new computer. but it didn't come with microsoft powerpoint. i got microsft word, excel, access but no powerpoint. does anyone know where it can be obtained, preferably for free?
java, when i try to access chatrooms is need i need to have java enabled. can anyone please tell me how to do this? thank you.

Powerpoint does not come as part of the standard Office package. Go buy it.

i am using internet explorer, how come it doesnt come with it. it came with windows 98. what about the java situation?

Well you can get a powerpoint viewer for free off the M$ site

You can do everything MS Office can do (including powerpoint presentations) with OpenOffice.org. It's not perfect but it does the job.
It has something to do with SP1 if I remember. MS got banned from using VM or something-oh heck I cant remember. Earlier SP1 had it, later cant have it.....Crap, babbling now.Originally posted by santaclaus
