    Mainboard driver problems

Hi, as some people might know from my other thread, I recently got a new harddrive (old one died) and upgraded to XP. But I'm having problems, as the system (harddrive?) seems to be running really slow, i.e. when installing stuff. On 98se, installing "AMD Miniport Driver" and "VIA Bus Master IDE Driver" from the Mainboard Utility cd would fix this, but on WindowsXP it says "Error: Windows2000 not supported" when I try installing them. Does anybody know of a way around this problem, or will I need to go back to Windows98?

P.S. Mainboard = DFI AK76-SN, and I've already checked the DFI website for new drivers, but they don't work either

Interesting, when I tried downloading drivers off the DFI (the manufacturer) website, they weren't compatible with Windows2000 (XP). But I never thought of checking AMD/VIA websites, and although VIA doesn't seem to have anything, AMD has a whole pile of drivers for download. I'll download some and see if they work when I get home in about... 30 minutes
