IE Cookies (HUGE Problems, absolutely not minor)

Hey guys, its good to be posting here again, but I seem to have a problem with IE 6's cookies.

I have all cookies enabled (session cookies, etc.) but on some sites (other message boards, etc.)

It seems that my computer simply IS NOT recieving cookies from some websites... I have done everything that I can think of to do to fix it, but nothing has worked.

    (Upgrade IE, Repair IE, etc.)

It seems that this tends to happen on every new Windows 98 or Windows 2000 installation...

    My computer specifications:

    30GB HDD
    Windows 2000 Professional
    IE6 SP1
    512 MB RAM
    7.5 MHz AMD Duron Processor

I will greatly appreciate any help!

You're serious? 7.5 mhz? What is that guys? 80x286 speedS? 486 came in 33 mhz and 66 mhz... and AMD wasn't around back then.

If you have a 7.5 mhz chip, your machine is WAY WAY WAY too slow to be running Windows 3.1... not to mention 2000. $50 says the stats you posted are not accurate, even though you might think they are. Are you sure you don't mean 1.5 ghz, perhaps? A 7 looks like a 1, if you're part blind...
    Away.

And that even has a remote chance of running Windows?

    EDIT: Bah! Beaten...

Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

No, it doesn't. That's my point. Everything but the processor in what he posted is probable.

Not possible. Forget it. Take a closer look at your computer specs.

At any rate, I doubt the processor is causing IE not to store cookies.

Try setting it to accept all cookies, and then visit those sites you've selected to receive them from (to help narrow the problem a bit).

Have you double checked all your security settings? On the message boards do you have your profile set to enable cookies? Are you on crack? If olive oil comes from olives where does baby oil come from? Are you on a network? If so have you checked with the network admin about the settings? Do you have a firewall software/hardware that may be blocking it?

Oh well... the program I used to check it mustve been malfunctioning... I double checked and its a 1.4 GHz; but that's beside the point.

All my security settings are set to accept all cookies... double and triple checked...

Im not on a network, but on the Administrator account of my computer. I doubt I have any firewall software, but ill double-check that.

I tried opera once, just didn't really care for it, im more into the light weight browsers, that's why i like firebird. Either way, go with one of those 2 and you should be fine, IE blows goats.

I downloaded Mozilla, and everything is working fine now, thanks!

And for the record, I hate Opera.
