    Laptop Power Problim!!

    Hi!
I have an Ashton Maximate420 laptop, It fell on the floor...
Now the " part on the mother board which the cord fits into " is broken..
I opened the laptop carefully, put back the broken part using glue gun, and welded it back to the motherboard VERY carefully...
When I finished, I put the laptop back together, making sure everything is in the right place, and I turned it on, it works...
I mean the fan works and I can hear the HDD working for few seconds, but the LCD doesn't work because the "sleep" LED flashes...
    ---------------
I tried opening it with my friend to see if something was not right, we checked everything, and while we were doing that, I remembered that I forgot the BIOS password, so wetook the bios battrey off for a few minutes to reset it...
After checking that everything was in the right place, we put the laptop back together and...
When we bush the power botton, it goes on then turns off quickly with the sleep LED flashing...

What is wrong with this peace of junk ??
I have a code which stops life!

    "It fell on the floor"
    lol. Don't drop electronics.

"put back the broken part using glue gun"
You used a glue gun? Oh my.

"welded it back to the motherboard"
You welded it? That seems like definite overkill. You probably melted everything in the computer with that. It would have been a better idea to use solder.

"so wetook the bios battrey off for a few minutes to reset it..."
It would have been a better idea to take the bios battery out

"When we bush the power botton"
Bush is not a verb. You spelled button incorrectly

"What is wrong with this peace of junk ??"
You dropped it on the floor, opened it, used a glue gun on it, WELDED it, and you want to know what's wrong with it? It's been dropped on the floor, glued, and welded! That's what's wrong with it! You should have taken it to a techician! You still can, but I have a feeling that they'll laugh at you when they see hot glue inside your computer.
    Away.

If you welded it: Take a picture of it and post it!

People like you are the reason there are "caution: coffee is served hot" labels.

I second the notion to post a pic. How the hell did you weld it? There's no metal to weld it to...unless there's something else you di that you're not telling us about.

Haha, you called us idiots. The irony is funny.

You said you welded it. It was believable that you welded it because you used a hot glue gun on it, which is less than intelligent. You can't blame saying you used a hot glue gun on poor english. I did suggest taking it to an authorized tech, which was useful, but you seem to have missed that. They have technicians because people that don't know what they are doing can't fix things that are broken because they were dropped. It's like letting your six year old sister play with your registry settings in Windows... or try to debug your code. Not going to work. I would, like the others, though, enjoy seeing a picture of this laptop.
    Away.

Maybe he burned solder onto the edges of his mobo and then welded the solder together with a arc welder! Or maybe he used metallic hot-glue?

If you're going to pick on someone for spelling at least make sure your spelling is flawless.

I can spell "technician" That was a typo. And picking on the spelling was a joke, accompanied by smiley faces.

If you soldered it, you should have said that. The hot glue was still stupid - as was leaving it in a place where it could fall. That's still your fault. I are how idiot, but you should have taken it to a tech.

    Cool

At this point, a paid tech would likely be your best bet. Laptops are not designed to fall, and I am sure that techs have patched together laptops with problems similar to yours, with specialized tools.
