The wierdest thing just happened to me today. I put my computer on standby so I could go outside and play some basketball with my brother. When I came back, I got in trouble ( ) and my mom took off the power cable to the laptop. I put it back in like a minute later. Then I realized that the battery was out but the light was STILL on... Finally, to my suprise, when I turned it on, the computer resumed to where it was when I sent it on standby. It did not hibernate. How is this possible? The cable AND the battery were out but somehow the laptop still held standby...
The reason why I keep the battery out (I know it sounds dumb) is that when its in and its connected to power, the battery still drains (really really really slowly). It auto-recharges when it hits about 90%. Thats also wierd but whatever. People say that recharging a lot drains battery life so I keep it out most of the time. The battery is only 1 month old and its the best I could buy -- battery life is like 3-4 hours. Anyone care to explain this too?
