    not through console. i was getting them on messenger (net send) but i disabled it, is there a way to disable this one?

    I think its actually a pop-up ad, not anything from messenger. If you look, the title has '- Microsoft Internet Explorer' on the end.

    yea i know its not messenger and that its an ad, but what service are they using so i can disable it? I keep getting them and its rlly crappy to have half life killed for a damn ad.

    It's a web page you dufus It's just an IE window showing you a jpg of a static console image. To disable this, uninstall IE or something

    You sound just like my parents, they always click on the ads on the websites that look like popup windows (but you can tell easily that they aren't). My dad even clicked on one while he was using Linux one time!

    The push button should've gave it all away.

    thats a good question! How Could I miss it?

    (i guess thats what happens to you when you sit infront of the computer for more than 48 hrs and plan to finally get some sleep at 5 am.)
