    data loss bad bad bad

    Ok so my sister needed her comp fixed so i backed it up to a secondary hdd. Well XP said it was formatting C:\ and formatted E and now all her REALLY important stuff got erased, plz tell me theres a way to recover this data. FBI does it, this is really really bad.....

    check out this forum, i havnt used any of these but theres a huge list of apps to try. hopefully you can do a bit-by-bit copy of the hard drive bfore you start plaing with it.

    Talking about this problem, I actually faced this before but didn't bother to get back all my stuffs there since it wasn't important.

    But, I'm interested now to know what is the root/cause of this problem? When I'm in DOS, the C drive display exactly what's on C but when formatted C, it formatted D instead. Anyone know WHY?

    guys im a damn idiot lmao. None of us realized that of it installed to the SECONDARY that the primary was untouched, meaning it still had the files on it LMAO!
