    WinXP login

Hi! Is there any way to disable the login window in WinXP? Since I'm the only person on this computer, it seems kinda pointless and a waste of time to enter the username + password every time I start it up (or restarting).

Another thing, not as important, but when you're in the explorer sometimes there is a waterstamp picture in the background symbolizing what kind of folder it is (pictures/music etc...). Can this be disabled?

    Many thanks for answers!

That should still work as far as I know

Or download the everhandy TweakUI and use that to set it

The link is for Windows 2000, so the guide won't work. Also, I prefer not hack the registry to disble this. Why can't there be a simple button like "Disable login accounts"?

If you download TweakUI, there is an option for AutoLogin. Just set the username and pass.
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

control panel -> users -> change the way users log on/off

select welcome screen. If it still wnats a pass make a double of your account then wipe out the password policy.

For future reference (incase if you don't want to use TweakUI) www.regedit.com should have all the information for you.
