Once upon a time, in a chip inside my computer, I was going along, having fun with Trillian when I am prompted to update the "aim.dll", now, I installed it but then Trillian wouldn't connect to anything (IRC, MSM, AIM, YAHOO, ICQ, ect), so i uninstalled that and reinstalled the un-updated version and was happy for a few weeks more. then one day Trillian just ups and crashing (illeagle op) so i install the update and the crashing stops, but then nothing will connect. I just figured it to be a Trillian thing, so I went online and downloaded a bunch of multi-account chat programs (gaim, everybody, odigo) but they kind of acted like trillian, none of them would connect (MSM wouldn't work either). Now, I have been having this problem for a while, RealPlayer could never go online and play files (.rm) (although I did get it to stream of klove's radio web site), Windows media player also had trouble going online and playing files. I tried installing QuickTime but the installer couldn't connect the internet so i had to manually download the big installer, Quicktime will play online files. So, to put it simply, various programs won't connect. IE will connect, my FTP progs will conect, but some programs and my IM progs won't.
Anyways, I hope someone can help. I am sorry for coming here pleaing for help as I am, but my school techy is out 'till the 22nd.
