Zombie/Virus Found !!!

    Hi all,

    I've been [un]lucky enough to find a Zombie/Virus on my PC.

    What would be the steps to "open this thing up" and see what is does ?

    Thanks......

    When all else fails, read the instructions.
    If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
>>> not in the list

    Yes it is, more than 20 variants of it in fact. It is also listed at McAfie's db here .

    The name of the trojan isn't "Zombie/Virus " that was my description of what I found.

    What virus is it then?

    Is it script or binary?

    For script, just open in your fav text editor

    For binary, reverse engineer it. Good luck though

    If you supply the right name, there is a good chance one of us with a reasonable virus subscription will be able to find out what it does at least.

    Trying to decompile a binary rarely if ever acheives anything.
