I noticed that Windows 2000 and XP have in built support for RAID 0, (i.e. no hardware necessary). Does anyone in here use it? If so, what do you think of the performance gain?

I'm not real familliar with raid and how it works, but i know at work our two servers use raid. It seems like any other computer to me, just tends to copy from one local hard disk to another slightly faster.

slightly faster.
RAID is fast but expensive as well, And not really required in
you normal average joe pc.
Don't fuzz the issue, I am not asking about the pros and cons of RAID systems, I know that very well. I'm talking strictly about the software RAID 0 support in the newer Windows releases.
