    Dumb fan question

Ok this is lame, but its such a powerful fan i can't tell :P

Say u lay a fan on a desk, and it spins to the right, that means the air is blowing onto the test more than it is back at you, right? Trying to determine which way they blow so i don';t put em backwards.

You do have the temp thing, right? If so, put it on there, and read the temp thing... Then turn it over. Go with the one that has the temp thing the lowest.
It might work, I dont really know.

It has not so much to do with the direction of the spin, but the angle of the blades. If it were to spin to the right (clockwise) and the blades were slanted so that the left end of each (looking at blades while they're at 12 o clock) would be raked toward you. If you were looking at it from this perspective, then the air should be blowing toward you.

This might seem a little silly, but why don't you just pick the fan up and put your hand next to it to see which way it's blowing?

Could be a dozen of explanations for that like he can't test the
fan outside the case for examp.

If he could put the fan on the table, I'm pretty sure it's out of the case.

It's on the desk and he's ask about which way it should be spinning.

    now now children!

I have a second pbox out of the case on a dresser wired to the fan, i use that pbox to test devices and fans and such. The fan is equally powerful on either side when i hold it, i seriously can't tell.

Unless it's a completely crappy fan... there SHOULD be an arrow on the fan somewhere indicating which direction the air flows.
