I recently sold someone a DVD rom, and they need drivers for it as they are using win98. I always used XP but told them i would get them drivers, since they did pay me 90.00 for it

You shouldn't need drivers for a DVD rom. Windows picks it up as a regular cd rom, and then the software, such as Power DVD runs the DVD player. What you need is software, not drivers. Power DVD is a real good program, and I think there is free versions on the net, but don't quote me on it.

It's going to be hard to find a windows software dvd player... i know from experience. You're better off buying the cheapest program and giving it to him.
It's not that hard... look what I found on download.com today - a special DVD player section.

U kno i think i member just using my decoder (windvd) in 98 with my old dvd rom.....i own a copy of PowerDVD 3 and 4, plus windvd and DVDNOW....let me give him those and see what happens.
