Hey, you both have basically the same avatars! But only one is allowed to keep it!
Ok, time to figure out who deserves it. Round one: Monkey knife fight. Both pick a monkey and then battle 'em.

That all depends, DDR can load and unload faster, but that 64Originally posted by RoD
i figure 32MB of DDR is better than 64 of SD.
MB SDR can store more, not that you actually need 64 MB
of memory on your videocard in any game.
btw, i have a level in Quake3 that requires at least 64 MB
of memory on your videocard, you play Quake3?
its my ava, i had it first :P
No i have Q3 Arena but never had the base Q3 so i can't play it >_<
Haha, yeah, that'd be cool but sad for the monkeys huh?Originally posted by face_master

Pfff, besides its black, im on the OpenGL dark side, your a damn
OpenGL light side wookie
lmfao, could we be anymore off topic lmao.
wookie's are on the hairy side, numb-nuts. (Actually they're not on any side becuase they posses no connection wih the force)
If they had they would be on the light side,, damn wookies!Originally posted by face_master

Yea, this is getting offtopic.
Still, RoD where do you learn OpenGL? Book? Site?
Yeah, better get back on topic before this thread is closed.
So...RoD. OpenGL is good....aye? Yeah...I think Direct3D is a bit too.....3d......
a few of the sites i posted for silver(i think thats it), a book entitled "OpenGL Game Programming" by Kevin Hawkins, Dave Astle, and Andre LaMothe, and friends.
OpenGL ruled the world a few years ago, but Direct3D got better,
it's about as good as OpenGL i think, the change is just in
the way you use the API, and of course D3D is an MS product,
and certain people have a problem with MS (most likely because
theyre jallous of it's succes and money).
I chose OpenGL for its portability, honestly, and because i have always perferred it in gaming.
I chose it because i like the way it works, right on the subject,
simeple function to perform tasks, no complicated unnessecary
things done in D3D, for it's portability..well..nice to have but im
not utilizing it.
