are they anyone who knows how to format the pc into window 2000 from win98?hopefully there will a helpful person,who can help me?As i have doubt of doing it,pls give me some advice or step of doing it.Urgently,i need now coz i want to upgrade the OS of my pc. tx.
put the cd in and select the format to ntfs option when it is offerd.
is that simple?currently,i'm using the window98. am i just put the cd in and select ntfs? is it? well,in window 98 i have to make a boot disk and then i started to format the window98.
how come the formation in win2k is that simple?

put the cd in and restart your pc. Open your set or bios setup whatever they call it, its normally DEL or F2.
Find the part that specify's the boot order and make sure CDROM is first.
Save and exit the bios, and let it boot. You will be promoted to press any key to begin setup, press any key.
Follow onscreen instructions and choose "convert to NTFS<quick>" when you are given this option. Note that if you delete the current partition, as i reccomend, you lose all your data.
