i just got a brand new 128mb ati radeon 9000 graphics card, but it wont go into my pc becuase the slots are the wrong size, upon further investigation, i noticed the card i have now is built into the motherboard. Is there something i can do to put my new card in, or am i screwed??

The slots are the wrong size?? On the motherboard or the case end of it? You may have bout a AGP version and only have pci. Whats the model/make or motherboard brand/type.
ya know i'll have to crack it open again and take a look but its an hp pavilion, and it seems like everything in on the motherboard. and the slots for the cards on the board are only about 4 inches or so whereas the card itself needs another inch or 2...either way its simply wont go into the slots the way its supposed to. i'll get back to ya later on what the motherboard type is...thanks for the help though.

Well, it sounds like you bought an AGP (brown slot) video card and your HP only has PCI (white slots) slots. It's pretty common for manufactuers like HP/Dell to put video on board and not give you any AGP. They're cheap bastards like that. You have limited choices:
1) Buy some sort of PCI->AGP converter.
2) Buy a new motherboard.
3) Take the card back and get a PCI video card.
