I have an old (win 95, now win98) laptop in the front of the boat.
My parents got a new (well, now it is a few months old) Sylvania LCD monitor.

My task is to hook up the Sylvania monitor so that my parents can see a replication of the laptop monitor on the LCD screen 50ft away (in the back of the boat).

Is this possable? I checked for cords, they seem to run into the $150 range. A clerk at a computer store thought that we could go wireless, using a device where you plug a component video cable into it and it sends a signal to a replicate device, but the monitor only has a normal monitor plug, and he didn't know of anything, wireless, that would work with that.

What are my options? anyone do anything like this? With such a long distance I would have to buy a gold plated cord (hehe "8karat cord").
