missles on metriods
*????*
You're CPU erased all your program's after you tried downloading
Internet Explorer 6.0??
Sorry, but that's impossible, windows wouldn't do this either,
So maybe you have a virus or something on your hard drive,
It's not related to your download or CPU in anyway, try
a virus scan
Huh, how are the title of this thread and what you posted related?
What version of Windows do you have? ME or XP (scratch that, XP comes with I.E. 6)? If so, then use the title of your post: Windows Restore. Go back to a date before you tried downloading I.E. 6.
And actually Travis (not me), it's not completely impossible In fact I've seen it happen on at least two of my customers computers where one day all of their desktop icons, start menus items, etc... are all just magically gone after an upgrade to MSN 8. Running the restore fixed it both times.
its possible for windows to do it, but sorry your cpu isn't going to just erase that stuff when you download something...
well you're all right in some ways,
Downloading programs (unless they're viruses) will not uninstall or delete anything. Installing programs can have this effect in some situations. However, since it was IE6 and windows is known to closely integrate IExplore with the system, I doubt an upgrade like that could have such an effect.
So I'd go with either the full of crap theory, or the virus theory
PHP and XML
Let's talk about SAX
How bout the "I pushed a bunch of wrong buttons i shouldn't be allowed near a pc" theory?
Can HARDLY imagine it but if you say so.Originally posted by TravisS

(those costumers most've really raped windows good for
it to do that!)
how about you quit posting stupid comments and try to help, not that you could, but that's the purpose of this board... for help, not to come here and get criticized... especially figuring this person may not be very old or not have english as a first language. We're here to help, not hinder.Originally posted by Ride -or- Die

As for Master2000, sounds like a virus, as stated before. However i seriously doubt your install of IE 6.0 did all this damage. But if it really did wipe everything out, you'll just have to start over, reinstalling the OS and so on...
>>How do you know it was IE 6?
excellent question.
