what networking brand has can be wire and wireless at the same time? i would like to set up a network at home so i can use the internet and printer with both my pc and my notebook. my notebook already built in so i was thinking of making use of the wireless lan. what should i do?

i suggest using the same brand (like linksys) hardware. A network is a way of sending data directly from computer to computer, whether it's with cable or over the air. So, you can use the same network, it will just communicate over different mediums to different computers...more information is available at websites all over the place. It sounds like you're a beginner at this, you may want to dig deeper before taking on a project like this, networks of one medium can be headache enough.

The item in the Link I gave you requires no setup at all - just plug it in get some RJ45 cables and hook it up to your comp and the other to your Cable Modem(if u have).

What complicates things is when you add in a router, rod, he isnt plugging in just one computer.
I have had some problems with my linksys router, but i turned everything off, unplugged everything, and hit the reset buttons, plugged back in, turned both computers on, and viola, everything worked.
I refuse to read those doomsday articles on networking, because usually they feature someone who has difficulty turning on a computer. The only trouble i had in setting up shared internet was a simple one, i simply thought i knew everything, and skipped the router's directions.

The only good thing about freezing beyond feeling in the final Nordic ski race was that I couldn't feel that tumble I did going about 30 mph, maybe more.
