i was just curious on how your computer acts after formating, i've heard from a few people that your pc just seems to run slower after formatting.

    formating? making it run slower?

i though it was a general cure all?

i've never experienced a slowdown after formating, and besides it defys logic anyways.

Formatting in and of itself should have no performance effect. What some people probably experience is some difference in the way their os is setup when they reinstall. There are lots of performance features, virtual memory for example, which might be set up differently without the average computer user knowing.

    Talking It is possible!

If you make a mistake and install real mode drivers instead of protected mode drivers.

I did this once and took a real performance hit! It took me a week to fiqure it out though.

BLASPHEMY! Begone from my C board, you foul lover of objects, before the gods of C cast you into the void as punishment for your weakness! There is no penance for saying such things in my presence. You are henceforth excommunicated. Never return to this house, filthy heretic!

That's what I mean. That's part of the os install, not part of the format per se.
