will not erase this history for internet explorer

    hi all,

i really want to erase this website from the history of my computer but it will not delete. on internet explorer I go to "tools" and "internet options" and do "delete" files and the other one next to it and also clear the history. I do all that.

but when I type "v" into the internet address bar it still gives an "autocomplete" and writes this internet address automatically in the drop-down list of the address bar. i want to erase this but it will not go away. I even do a search on the "history" option and type "v", and then I find that site and I say "delete" aftering right clicking the address. I click "Ok' but the site will still not go away.

I want it to go away and how do I do it?
I even have a site from year 2000(!) that will not go away on the nba playoffs. this other site is not something I want on my computer. what can I do?

    please help.
    thank you

When it brings up the auto-complete box, highlight something and press "delete", and it will be gone...

    then, disable it

    http://diskcleaner.tripod.com/

    I use it like 10 - 20 times a day (I have a shortcut key for it).

I like Window Washer over DiskCleaner, because you have much more control over what's being deleted (so I can have it NOT delete my cproggie cookie), and you have the ability to add your own items to be cleaned... plus it's more thourough than DiskCleaner (there are tons of hidden tracks/logs on your computer... especially if you are using Win2K Pro/WinXP Pro )

Also, if you do it manually...in the find files dialog, look for content.ie5. You may want to wipe those folders in it clean.....those are not part of the history or offline files, they're a second back up.

Heres a little advice, when surfing porn sites, turn the Javascript and especially the ActiveX off lol (I keep those two off in general).

If all else fails, try reinstalling IE
C Code. C Code Run. Run Code Run... Please!

how do you know the guy was looking at porn? lol
give him some credit, maybe he's working on some top secret gov't project and can't allow the places he's been online to be found out....but the porn thing is more plausible. lmao.
