    apache upgrade on linux?

Has anyone here had any success running php4 with apache2 (linux)? Is is worth the pain, or should I stick to old reliable 1.3?

Apache is really easy to setup, especially 2.0, go for it

You're right it was...i got it running about five minutes after i posted here. I've just heard horror stories about apache2.0 and php (like the whole server process going down every time a php page was requested) and the documentation clearly states that php support for apache 2.0 is EXPERIMENTAL. Nevertheless, no problems yet. **knock on wood**

i got it to work because i (mistakenly) thought i needed both php4 and apache2. it took a fair amount of time hammering out config problems, but once everything settled it worked fine.
