    Hard Drive Problem

One day, I didnt shutdown properly, so Windows runs a scan disk, which I always close. To my astonishment, its scanning a drive E, that Ive never had. Reboot to make sure its not a mistake, but no. I have my primary C dirve, a D drive- which says its running in Ms_Dos compatiability mode. So my drive is no longer accessible, and ghost, which was on D, is now on E.

Im formatting soon, but any ideas as to why this would happen?

Um what were you doing before you shut down windows? Run any programs that could possibly corrupt your registry?
