    CodeBlocks with MinGW virus-free download

    Hello!

I bought the Jumping into C++ book and tried downloading Codeblocks with MinGW but all downloads that I tried carry a virus or don't have the MinGW compiler (if that's what MinGW is).

Could someone please post a link to a virus-free download site. I am willing to pay if needed for the download.

    Thank you in advance!

    Kind regards.

If you downloaded the codeblocks/mingw setup from the official site, then I can pretty much guarantee your antivirus software is making a false positive. I scanned the download kit with AVG and Malwarebytes myself just now, and nothing was found. In this case, just ignore it, don't corrupt the installer by cleaning it.

Do NOT use the BerliOS links; because they stopped supporting open source software; so, they may be broken links.

Um, isn't BerliOS actually shutting down completely, rather than just stopped supporting open source software? Granted, BerliOS was set up "to support the use and acceptance of open source software".

I think. I don't trust the Fraunhofer Society wrt. libre software at all anyway; they're too keen to patent stuff and demand royalties from everybody.

That is even more reason to NOT use the links.
