    Lol; No biggie, just details.

I didn't say details were not important, though. That depends on what you're doing and if you want a more in-depth explanation.

My media has arrived, and I am now ready to burn the DVD. Simple question, (which will no doubt cause an avalanche off topic comments...), can I just put the DVD in the burner and copy the .iso file to it using Windows utilities? I have earlier used Nero to write CD's, but it would seem that modern versions of the writer programs also install OpenCandy ad ware.

In case you are worried about a burning utility, you can use ImgBurn. Freeware. No adware. Small.
As for whether it's required or not... no idea. Windows utilities have always been pretty subpar.

    O_o

Are you sure they removed the "OpenCandy" crap?

I really don't know; I stopped using it the second the developer pushed an installed with bundled "OpenCandy".

It still ships with the OpenCandy crap. There has been no new version since that day. The most recent version since that day (2.5.7.0) is available at OldApps. Perfectly workable. At least on my case the 2.5.8.0 changelog doesn't bring anything interesting or needed.

Good steer Mario, thanks for that. DVD burnt. Waiting now for my BOINC queue to complete.

For burning images, I really like CDBurnerXP. Don't let the name fool you. It works on newer versions of windows as well. No adware or other crap gets installed either, as far as I can tell.
What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It's got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?
