i am not sure, but, something like this hapeened with my computer few years back. the computer locked (as you said) and i had to forse shutdown . and when i tried to restart it didn't and a weird ''pee" sound came. it was solved by taking out the RAM ,cleaning it with some cloth and reinserting it into its slot. probably it happened due to some lose connections of the RAM.
