If and when I do go to grad school, I would be most likely going into Mechatronics and Control Systems. It might just be the school I go to (satellite of Purdue University), but I just wish we spent at least a little more time with anything programming related. We had a single 3 credit hour course that you could pass by having someone else do your homework for you (no tests...). Programming is the reason I've had 2 successful internships so far and its fortunate that I love doing it.
This is the main problem I am having. There are jobs that want you to work solely in one discipline, and while I love development, I also love doing CAD modeling, finite element analysis and control systems design. I hope now that I've landed my first full time job that I will have some flexibility in the future.
