I was just going to install the new version of ubuntu....and found that I have to make a rather large backup before I can wipe the partition.
I had installed the Kubuntu Desktop metapackage over the 10.10 installation, thus configured my dsl connection with pppoeconf. In this state, I can't connect the computer with a cross cable to another one. What should I do to revert back to using the gui network manager ...OR...How do I set up a lan with *this ?
