    How to make an installer

    Hallo,

    I am in the process of wrapping up a project for Mac and PC and I need to make an installer for it. I made the PC version of the installer using NSIS, but after burning it to a CD the īvalidating installerīstep of the installation takes more time then I would like it to. It takes several minutes, while the actual installation process takes second.

    Can anyone recommend me a software for making installers? Something that is able to generate one for both mac and PC would be great.

    On Windows, the nullsoft one you mentioned is a big one, and there's also Inno Setup

    Don't know about mac...

    Try installshield, it's been around forever. Oh, yea there is a PC and a MAC version, so this helps you alot!
