So I have this laptop with OpenBSD on it, which has internet access through my Fedora desktop (using iptables to route the traffic between cards), and it works. While connected, both the laptop and desktop have internet access, as it's suppose to be.
But, when I run pkg_add on my laptop, with PKG_PATH exported and set to 'ftp://ftp3.usa.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/4.7/packages/amd64/', my desktop freezes. X hangs and all input is ignored. I assume it means the kernel froze, as the power button won't even turn it off, and I can't switch to tty2!
Got any ideas?
Thanks,
Yarin
I also checked /var/log/messages on both systems. The laptop shut down with no errors (no mention of network activity either). The desktop's logs just come to an abrupt end, with nothing else out of the ordinary.
