Unhappy Changing GCC compiler in CDT

I installed CDT using eclipse for linux platform. When I create new project I see the default compiler option is GNU toolchain. The project which I'm working on requires different cross compiler which is present on that linux machine. I tried substituting the "Conpiler Invocation command" in project-->properties-->C/C++ Build-->Discovery Options. But it doesn;t seem to be replacing the default GNU compiler.

Can someone please give me pointers on changing the GNU toolchain to desired one?

    Many Thanks!

You'd be better off asking this question on one of the Eclipse forums.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
