    XP: Explorer stays in the foreground

    It's not a biggie, but it annoys me.
    For some reason starting some days ago (I reckon after doing a windows update), launching applications from within Windows Explorer always moves them to the background. That is, Explorer remains in the foreground and the applications are launched behind it.

    I searched and searched and couldn't find an answer to this. Any ideas?

    Windows XP SP3 with latest updates.

    You could try this. Not sure if that's what the problem is, though.
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    Thanks Sebastiani. Been there before. That's not it.

    Code:
    wsh = new ActiveXObject('WScript.Shell');
    wsh.Run('notepad', 1); //set notepad to your app.
