I have a Draft-N router sending a mixed 802.11n, 802.11g, and 802.11b signal. I just recently updated the firmware and now my laptop with 802.11n isn't getting the same speeds it was just an hour ago. It was restricted to 10Mbps on the default Channel 6, which I then changed to 1 and now it's getting closer to 17Mbps. I should be getting around 25Mbps from the server I'm testing.
I'm curious to know if for some reason my laptop isn't receiving the correct signal. Does anyone know a way, particularly on the internet or on Windows Vista to check which signal I'm on?
EDIT: Hmmm... seems to be up to speed now. I just reset the router and everything is working good. Regardless, I am curious to know if there is a way to check what signal you're getting. Even though I'm feeling more confident that the problem was with one of the router's antennas.
