    Subversion question?

If I checked a file into Subversion and then realized I forgot to make it executable, how can I change the file permissions in Subversion?
I tried changing the permissions to 755 & touching the file, but it says there's no changes... So I made a change to a comment in the script and checked it in. When I check it out the file isn't executable.
I just ended up deleting the file and checking it in again with the proper permissions, but there must be another way to do it right?

A quick search shows that you may need to change the svn properties. In particular, set svn:executable.

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.
