I've used firefox, both new and old. I wont form an opinion based on ignorance of having never used the software. I dont like it, i like opera, and this thread is exactly why.

The very very earlier release of 8 was called "Opera 7.6 BETA", then it became a revised version in opera 8 beta. I still have the original downloaded file that they themselves named 7.6 BETA.

It speeds it up some. But remember opera is faster out of the box, and there are "tweaks" for it just like you posted for ff, so again, opera is faster.

Identify as opera and choose sign in anyway...

If you mean through the website? No never nadda. If you mean using its pop feature in opera, its gmails fault.

Dont blame issues with your pc on opera. Also, as many people also seem not to realize, you DO NOT have to pay for opera. And who would pay it? I would, and so would almost everyone i have turned on...
