And some think global warming is a hoax. It doesn't really matter though - getting off of oil is a Good Thing(TM). It's safer using ethanol :)
The text box is very small.'
Edit doesn't seem any different.
C# runs on any platform that has a .NET implementation. Linux, Mac, and Windows can all run programs written in C# assuming they are compiled on those platforms.
Makes me want to major in engineering instead of computer science.
It took you 10 years to get a B.S.? Wow, that's dedication! Congrats man.
Why on earth would FireFox put in a button that deletes every file you have downloaded? That would make no sense at all. It would be too easy for someone to accidently click it and delete all their...
You heard wrong. OpenGL will run fine on Vista..
Isn't SDL Software-rendered? That's probably why if it is.
Clarification: The Express editions are free forever, but only free to download for 1 year. :)
That is stunning. Hopefuly the DX10 graphics cards will be capable of dealing with all of that :)
Let me rephrase that: If you do not already know C++, and want to make a game yesterday, then using C++ would be inefficient. C# is good for beginners to make a nice quick game, or if the programmer...
There is no such thing as a "better" language. Each language is good in its own domain. For example, C++ sucks when it comes to making Windows apps quickly, a task much better fit for a language like...

If you really want to do an MMORPG, I suggest you at least reas this
It is a postmortem about Eternal Lands, an indie MMORPG written in C, using OpenGL and SDL. It has been running for some time...
Unless I am very, very wrong: the only thing OpenGL does IS graphics.
Seriously, what do you mean by your statement?
Is this a console or GUI project?
Please, tell me how OpenGL is incapable of displaying the graphics for an MMORPG?
OpenGL is often faster than DirectX, in my experience, so I see no issue with using it.
Yeah, I understand that it needs more than just a pointer - I was just using that as an example of when one might be used :)
Ok, thanks Salem! Now I can rest easily :)
EDIT:
Ok, I thought...
