King (Candy Crush Saga) is hiring superstar C++ Developers!

    Hi there!

We are hiring in many locations Spain, UK, Romania and
    Sweden!

For more information please contact me: [email protected]

    Our Kingdom in Sweden

At King we put everything we have into making entertaining, snackable games that weave moments of fun into the day.

Sweden is home to some of King’s biggest hits - Candy Crush Saga (Stockholm) and Pet Rescue Saga (Malmo) which helped make King a global leader in high quality, casual gaming, with over 110 million monthly players and more than 12 billion game plays. You can find the games on the web at king.com, mobile devices and social networks - Candy Crush Saga is the top game on Facebook.

Now we are in the process of releasing more of our best titles to smartphones and tablets. We have a back catalogue of over 150 titles and regularly launch new games on the web.

    Knights of creativity
Our teams have full autonomy over the creative process from beginning to end. And we understand your need to refuel and relax. Whether it’s playing table tennis with your colleagues, spending time with your family or going to the gym, you’ll be encouraged to have fun and do whatever it takes to stay inspired and help deliver some of the most popular games in the world.

    Relocating?
No problem. We have a relocation agent that will guide you through everything from accommodation to VISAs. We’ll assist with the costs of moving and help you to settle in. Although almost everyone in Sweden speaks English we’ll provide free optional language tuition just for the fun of it!

If interested, please apply at: [email protected]

    Thanks!

    Joanna

Right 98% of the time, and don't care about the other 3%.

If I seem grumpy or unhelpful in reply to you, or tell you you need to demonstrate more effort before you can expect help, it is likely you deserve it. Suck it up, Buttercup, and read this, this, and this before posting again.

What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It's got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?

You're referring to superego (one word) - the component of personality concerned with suppressing urges that are considered wrong or socially unacceptable.

That is distinct from (and arguably in conflict with) the concept of "super ego".

It would not be hard to find examples in the forums (both developers and non-developers) who demonstrate one trait but not the other.

In case anyone's wondering Candy Crush is kinda the game phenomenon of the moment and is attracting press coverage because it's earning the company lots of cash but also because its grabbed the attention of a group not normally associated with playing computer games - mothers and working age women, whose reported addiction levels to the game are more normally associated with that of teenage boys. So there are all kinds of role-reversal stories etc of the mother picking up the kids from school and as soon as they get in the car,and not taking her eyes off the ipad, telling them not to say a word as she is just about to finish a level of the game. And wives playing it under the bed covers at night so their husbands can't see them etc.
